The Building Brighter Futures Family Learning Award celebrates and recognises organisations that demonstrated how they innovated to adapt and deliver family learning during the lockdown, using what they learnt to shape their learning offer. The quality of entries for this category was so high that we announced joint winners, Rotherham Creative Learning (CLC) and V&A Dundee



Joint Winner: Rotherham Creative Learning Centre

Rotherham Creative Learning team is made up of three dedicated people who are passionate about placing creative learning at the heart of the family and beyond. During the pandemic they launched Creative Home Learning Packs so they could continue supporting families with learning.

Joint Winner: V&A Dundee


V&A Dundee is Scotland’s design museum. During lockdown, the team there developed a free telephone hotline called Design Busters that families could call and receive a new weekly design brief. Design Busters activity books were also distributed to libraries, prison family visiting hubs and foodbanks.
